Cyanotype- In 1842, Sir John Herschel, an English astronomer and scientist, invented the cyanotype process. In 1843, Anna Atkins, a friend of Herschel, became the first person to create a photographically illustrated book using cyanotypes. Her work, Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions, is widely collected and celebrated today. I embraced cyanotype because of its unpredictability and the unique nature of each print.
